VISION/MISSION/Core Values

Vision & Mission

Vision (the end result)

To lead people into loving and growing

relationships with God and their community.

Mission (how we get there)

The Foundry Church exists to authentically love God

and genuinely love People by creating

Community where lives are formed.

Core Values:

REAL

Authentic Community “We live in genuine & loving relationship.”

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34-35 (NIV)

RENEWED

Spiritual Formation “We are shaped by our journey with Jesus.”

4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” – John 15:4 (NIV)

RESPONSIBLE

Missional Living “We invite others to grow with us.”

8 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  – Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Affiliation:

The Foundry Church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God. Please go to ag.org to learn more. Specific beliefs that we emphasize are listed below.

Beliefs:

#1 WE BELIEVE IN GOD

We Believe in God and that He makes Himself known to humanity in 3 Distinct Persons - God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. We witness the plurality of God in Genesis 1:26-27 when we see "God say, 'Let us make man in our image'...God made man in His image."

#2 WE BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE

We Believe that the Bible is God's spoken word to man for mankind to guide and help us in everyday life. The Apostle Paul speaks to this belief in 2 Timothy 3:16. Therefore, we believe we are empowered by the teachings of Christ to do extraordinary things and see God act on our behalf each day. Lastly, we are encouraged by God's choosing of normal, ordinary folks to be His church today.

#3 WE BELIEVE WE ARE THE CHURCH

We believe that Jesus said it best in John 14:12 when He said: "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father." The challenge was issued and charge was given as Jesus was leaving this earth to Go and Be the church.
