MARLEY STEMPER

Hi! I’m Marly and I’m the worship director at the Foundry. I started attending the Foundry in 2019 when I began college at WVU and got involved in Chi Alpha Campus Ministries. I had grown up sporadically going to church, but it wasn’t until Chi Alpha and coming to the Foundry that I truly got to experience the love and faithfulness of Jesus and His people that changed my life for the better. Throughout my childhood, I was involved in marching and symphonic bands but never knew how much music meant to me until I wasn’t involved in those programs anymore. A friend volunteered me to sing at a Chi Alpha large group meeting the fall of 2021 and despite fear and uncertainty that I could even sing, the Lord has been extremely faithful and kind in showing me that music is how I was made to worship and honor Him best. I have been beyond blessed to have people pour into me to not only challenge and improve my musical ability, but also show me what it truly means to worship the Lord through music and lead others in it. It is my greatest honor and pleasure, and forever my prayer, that I can help the church learn to musically worship the Lord and be obedient to Him in His calling, even when we may doubt our own abilities.
